Patient’s Rights and Obligations
While enjoying our medical services, you are entitled to the below rights:
The rights to access to the basic medical care with no discrimination on nationality,sex, age, believing or social status.
The rights to enjoy medical services in a safe environment. Personal privacy shall be properly protected.
The rights to participate in the discussions during the process of medical services and decide the treatment plan, including selecting other ways of treatment or rejection of treatment, which shall be carried out after signing related documents. Nevertheless, the choice being made by the patient should not be against the laws, rules and regulations of the State.
The rights to inquire about the diagnosis of the sickness, the result of examination, treatment method and future effect.
The rights to express reducing pain
The rights to ask the doctors and nurses to provide related health education materials concerning nursing, application of medicine, diet and so on.
The rights to ask for property protection and free from personal attack.
If you feel that your above rights are infringed, you can talk to the medical personnel. If there are any complaints, medical disputes or suggestions during the process of medical services, you are entitled to bring up the issues to the concerned department which needs to give replies.
While enjoying our medical services, you are required to follow the below obligations:
Properly inform the doctor of patient’s health status, marriage, history, medicine allergy, and also notify whether the patient is suffering from any infectious diseases.
Please follow the guidance of the nurse for diagnosis in an orderly way. Don’t look over the medical records of other patients. If can’t see the doctor in time due to patient’s personal reasons, the computer system shall make the queuing list again, which has to be followed by the patient.
Please cooperate with the medical personnel and ensure “one diagnosis room with one doctor and one patient only”. After entering the diagnosis room, please close the door to protect your personal privacy.
Please abide by the regulations or treatment process of the hospital. Never ask the doctor to give any false materials or diagnosis certification. Follow the rules of entrance and infection control measures. Don’t smoke within the hospital. Don’t make loud noises in the diagnosis room, treatment room, waiting area and examination area to avoid affecting other patient’s rights.
Please follow the doctor’s advice for the treatment. Treasure the medical resources and properly utilize the facilities of the hospital.
Please show respect to the medical personnel for their work and personal dignity.
Please pay the actual medical fees on time.
Hospital’s Rights and Obligations
We have the obligations to provide you with a safe and comfortable medical environment, and we have the rights for the administration in accordance with the rules and regulations laid down by the hospital.
We have the rights to charge the medical services according to the prices verified by government price control department, and we will provide you with detailed expense list and official invoice.
If you are diagnosed with certain infectious disease which has to be reported to Sanitation Quarantine Department regulated by the State, the hospital is obliged to observe the rules and timely report the case to the superior authority, and shall take necessary medical measures, even restrict part of your freedom.
We have the rights to reject the demand for any medical services violating laws, rules and regulations, but we are obliged to take the reasonable comments and suggestions to improve the services, and we commit the medical services shall not be affected due to complaints. We will take good care and properly protect the patients vulnerable.
The hospital is a teaching hospital, hence, we are entitled to have trainees and practice medical personnel to participate in the diagnosis and treatment activities under the qualified medical personnel, but they are not allowed to conduct such activities on their own. Clinical teaching activities might involve in the medical processes of outpatient and inpatient, but we will fully protect your privacy.
